Nicole found a wonderful non-profit program in Cuzco, Peru called Helping Hands. The object Helping Hands is to "help the children and single mothers who are in a state of poverty, abandonment, physical and emotional violence, malnutrition, and discrimination." (See the link I mention at the top). We will be working with children ages 4-14 years old! We are going to partake in whatever areas help is needed the most. We will be mostly speaking in Spanish, but there is some opportunity to teach English, which would be very awesome. I will be bringing down school supplies and clothing. I read that one of the reasons why children do not go to school is because of the expensive prices of school supplies. If you have any donations, feel free to contact me simonens@yahoo.com.
